IIN to host Social Innovation Workshop
The Illinois Innovation Network is hosting a free, one-day social innovation workshop on Jan. 22 at the UIS Student Union. The workshop begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m., and is intended for individuals who are interested in submitting an application to the IIN's Social Innovation and Impact seed grant call for proposals.
Attendees will learn design thinking principles to help them develop a competitive proposal to the seed grant program that will award up to $100,000 per award in 2025. The workshop will provide attendees with workbooks on social innovation and social entrepreneurship, and will feature speakers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Siebel Center for Design and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
